Site design for a mixed use commercial development. A storm water bioswale infiltration area flows along two sides of the site.

Thrivent Financial (formerly AAL) Corporate Headquarters

Appleton, WI
partnering with SAA
This is a design implementation of their master plan which included reducing the amount of lawn being mowed and defining their campus. Native restoration areas were modeled after Wisconsin mesic and wet mesic prairie and woodland edge plant communities. Lawn storm water swales were redesigned as bioswales to infiltrate and filter storm water from parking lot and roads. A walking trail system allows employees and the public to enjoy the restoration landscape and wildlife it attracts.

Fitchburg Center

Fitchburg, WI

A public piazza adjacent to Fitchburg’s agora, mixed use development and civic landscape spaces in the entry courtyard as well as an amphitheater and drainage spiral landscape overlooking an established prairie restoration and drainage basin. A majority of the landscape is over an underground parking garage.
